Greenfest Sustainable Living Festival
Saturday, September 19, 2026 (2:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Spend the day immersed in sustainability and green living at Greenfest Sustainable Living Festival! Greenfest is a free, family-friendly event celebrating sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. The festival will feature hands-on workshops, guided hikes, live music, children's activities, sustainable vendors, and local food and beverage offerings. We expect a strong turnout from families and community members across Central Kentucky.
Greenfest offers something for everyone:
Engaging workshops and guided hikes throughout the event.
Fishing from 2–5PM (Fishing licenses are required for participants 16 years and older. Learn more at fw.ky.gov/Licenses/Pages/default.aspx).
Hands-on children’s activities led by BGGS educators.
A vendor area featuring eco-friendly merchandise and informational booths from sustainable organizations/businesses.
Live music from local Kentucky artist Jeri Katherine Howell.
Local food and drink vendors.
A sustainable raffle packed with meaningful prizes.
And more!
Remember to dress for the outdoors! We encourage comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for walking on outdoor terrain. Since you’ll be spending time surrounded by nature, long pants and socks are recommended. Don’t forget your reusable water bottle!
